Hidden Valley experienced significant rain and flooding yesterday. Washoe County Roads crews are working to clear debris from streets. Here are things to know:
- The detention basin constructed after a similar flooding event in 2024 held and prevented more significant impacts to homes.
- Residents who need shelter can go to the American Red Cross headquarters located at 4750 Longley Lane Suite 101 Reno. They are prepared to accommodate those displaced. Or call 1-800-Redcross.
- Homeowners who have debris on their property can push it out into the street, and Washoe County Roads crews will dispose of it.
- Hidden Valley Regional Park is closed.
