Registration for the drive-through test is required – Residents cannot get tested without registering. The availability of this event is limited to about 900 tests per day starting Monday June 1 through Saturday June 6, so residents are encouraged to sign up as soon as possible. The move to offer testing to people who aren’t showing symptoms of COVID-19 was done in connection with the State of Nevada’s request to increase testing.
A COVID-19 test will tell you if you have COVID-19 when you were tested; however, a negative test result does not mean you’re immune the virus and you can still contract it after you were tested. COVID-19 is spreading throughout the community and we encourage people to continue to wear masks and practice social distancing. Residents can call 775-328-2427 for more information and to sign up.
