Additionally, we’re reporting 354 new COVID-19 cases in Washoe County with 85 recoveries.

Total recoveries are likely under-reported. That is because disease investigators with the Washoe County Health District have been unable to make contact with every case that is eligible for recovery (recovery eligibility here) due to the surge of new COVID-19 cases since mid-October. Contacting new cases is and has been deemed a priority over recovery notification.
