Reno/Sparks, NV – The Regional Information Center is reporting an additional COVID-19-related death in Washoe County.
The deceased was a female in her 80s with underlying health conditions. This is the 15th COVID-19-related death in Washoe County.
In Washoe County, a total of 572 residents have contracted COVID-19, with 23 new cases reported. There were 12 additional recoveries.
- Total COVID-19 cases in Washoe County: 572 (+23 from 4/15)
- Deaths: 15 (+1)
- Recoveries: 115 (+12)
- Active cases: 442 (+10)
- Currently hospitalized: 38 (+6)
- Cases who have discharged from hospital: 33* (+0)
*A miscalculation was provided in previous reports and the number has been reduced.

- 54 percent of short-term, acute-care hospital beds are occupied (+1% since 4/13)
- 49 percent of the Intensive Care Unit beds are occupied (+6%)
- 23 percent of ventilators are in use (+1%)
